In search of beauty, a woman accepts everything: even going under the knife to a plastic surgeon. And her chest is the very place that attracts the attention of both men and beautiful women. The statistics are relentless: only 5% of women between 18 and 45 are satisfied with the appearance of their breasts and almost all believe that if they had the opportunity, they would change it. Someone a little, and someone would have completely abandoned their naturalness in favor of the ideal, like models from the cover of a glossy magazine. What is breast plastic surgery and what questions are worrying women who are ready to decide on a transformation?
Breast Plastic Surgery: How Can Doctors Help?
The vast majority of women try to increase their breasts, and it is with this request that thousands of women turn to plastic surgeons every year. However, in some cases, an excessively massive bust brings discomfort and they ask, on the contrary, to make it smaller. Sometimes after giving birth, the breasts become saggy and the woman becomes insecure, because in order for no one to know about her problem, she has to constantly wear a bra. However, with intimate communication, it is not possible to hide it. Another problem is the asymmetry of the mammary glands, and in this case, doctors have ways to help a woman. And finally, an important point is the appearance of the nipples - they are what make breasts attractive. Sometimes the shape of the nipples (inverted, asymmetrical) deprives the breast of charm, even if its dimensions correspond to the generally accepted parameters of female beauty.
breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is the most common operation performed on this part of the female body and occupies a leading position among all plastic procedures. Because? The answer is simple: for many it is the beauty of the breasts that is the key to success with the opposite sex. Indeed, the shape of the female breast for men is important, but this question is purely individual: some are crazy about small breasts, which makes them feel that their partner is an innocent girl, others crave to drown in magnificent forms. and still others (most of them) adhere to the "golden center" and want to admire 2-3 size breasts.
Breast augmentation surgery consists of inserting a special silicone prosthesis under the breast tissue or under the large chest muscle. There are three types of surgical incisions:
- Through an incision in the area around the nipple. In this case, traces of cuts and seams may be visually visible.
- Through an incision along the crease between the chest and chest. At the same time, the seams are practically invisible.
- Through an incision in the armpit. It is used quite rarely if it is impossible to perform it in the first two areas.
The operation is performed in 2 stages: first the doctor creates a pocket where the implant will be placed, then inserts a silicone prosthesis inside it. After that, she sews neatly. The average operation takes 1. 5 hours. Total anesthesia is required for its implementation, so the woman must first undergo an examination "under anesthesia" to minimize the risks during the operation. A woman can leave the clinic the next day and on the 10th day she will be invited for examination and removal of the stitches.
In the first few days after the prosthesis, a woman is likely not entirely satisfied with the result. The points for the first few weeks will be bright, swollen, due to the stretching of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, she will experience sensations as if the skin is tight, painful, reminiscent of the same in the first weeks of breastfeeding. Adaptation to the new breast size takes 3-5 weeks, after which the woman's condition normally returns to normal. Implant rejection is extremely rare - modern materials are used today that practically do not cause such a reaction. Given that the silicone implant does not violate the integrity of the mammary gland, but begins behind it, breastfeeding is acceptable in the future, of course, if it does not cause discomfort to the woman (after all, the bust can reach very large size, pumping will sometimes be required).
Breast reduction
Breast reduction surgery is much less in demand than breast augmentation. However, even with such a request, owners of magnificent forms sometimes ask for help from plastic surgeons. Indeed, very large breasts can bring discomfort: the skin under it sweats, diaper rash appears, excessive stress on the spine leads to back pain, it is difficult to run, jump and play sports - for this it is necessary to wear a bra skintight or a special T-shirt. As a result, a woman has to carry two special backpacks on the front every day, the weight of which sometimes reaches 3-5 kilograms.
Breast reduction surgery is performed both at the request of the patient and in the presence of medical indications (in most cases these are complications of the spine). In this case, the doctor makes an incision around the nipple or from the nipple down. It can remove both the mammary gland tissue itself and the fatty tissue that makes up the bulk of the magnificent bust. Usually these fabrics are taken from the sides and bottom in the same volume symmetrically on both sides. You can remove up to 1 kg from each breast at a time. If necessary, the operation can be repeated after a few months.
The operation also requires complete anesthesia and takes about 1 hour. After that, the stitches should be removed on the 7-10th day and examined by a doctor. Many women experience significant relief, feel rejuvenated, and rejoice that they have become more active and mobile.
Breast lift
Large breasts are obviously beautiful and feminine. However, after childbirth or a sharp weight loss, it can acquire a not quite aesthetic appearance - become saggy. The fact is that the skin and subcutaneous tissue cannot always shrink, as a result they stretch and deprive the breast of elasticity. Sometimes stretch marks form on the skin of the breasts, significantly worsening their appearance.
Breast lift surgery is called mastopexy. Its essence is reduced to the excision and removal of excess skin and subcutaneous tissue, the mammary gland rises higher and fixes itself in this new position. Sometimes, at the same time as these manipulations, the shape of the nipples is corrected, which often take on an unsightly appearance when the breasts sag. The operation lasts 2-3 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. After it, most often there are traces of incisions and stitches, they are especially visible in the nipple area. However, as a result, a woman acquires "rejuvenated" breasts, which become taller, more elegant and look much more attractive (of course, men also like this option better).
A woman can leave the clinic the day after the operation. On the 7th day, a visit by the attending physician is required. The stitches are removed after 12-14 days. The final shape of the breast takes 3-4 weeks, when the swelling disappears completely.
Nipple Plastic Surgery
The beauty of the whole breast depends on the appearance of the nipples. Most often, after childbirth and prolonged breastfeeding, they take on an unusual shape: they become asymmetrical (for example, if a woman has been breastfeeding for a long time), too large or have an uneven outline. Sometimes such an operation may be necessary for a woman with inverted nipples, in case she cannot feed the baby with milk. Another indication is the removal of the mammary gland, skin and nipple due to the appearance of a malignant neoplasm. In this case, a woman can install a silicone prosthesis and at the same time form an artificial nipple. Sometimes a man may also need nipple plastic surgery if he develops hormonal diseases (gynecomastia).
The operation takes about 1 hour and the technique depends on what the surgeons need to fix. It also requires complete anesthesia and removal of sutures on day 10-14.

plastic surgeon
If you ask passersby: "What types of plastic surgery do you know? " 99% of the respondents will answer: "Breast augmentation". This is, without exaggeration, perhaps the preferred operation of both patients and plastic surgeons. The experience accumulated over the years of developing plastic surgery is enormous, it allows you to create the conditions for the patient to receive the expected result and the rehabilitation period to be as comfortable as possible. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries in the world. It is often combined with a breast lift, especially women who have given birth or have lost a lot of weight.
What still brings women to a plastic surgeon? Desire to feel attractive to men and young people. The female body is beautiful. But after babies are born and breastfeeding, not a single cream or even a gym will restore the female breast to its previous shape and elasticity. Women start to get complicated and lose their self-confidence. As a result, they are embarrassed to undress not only on the beach, but also in front of their husband.
For some patients, breast augmentation is a dream come true, for others it is a weapon in the fight against competitors watching their beloved man. For breast cancer patients, this is an opportunity to feel like a woman! It would seem that the operation is one, but many different patients, destinies and emotions.
Very often, patients wishing to install breast implants are concerned about the following questions: "How to choose the size of the implant? ", "How to choose a surgeon? ", "Are anatomical or round implants better? ", "What access? ", " How will rehabilitation go? ". In my opinion, the most important thing is to find your specialist, the one you trust. The remaining issues will be decided by the surgeon, because it is he who is responsible for you and your breasts. In this regard, I would recommend first of all to look at the photo gallery of the doctor's work and, of course, never save on the quality of the implants. Read the reviews about the surgeon.
An important point I would like to focus on is the rehabilitation period. It is important that your surgeon stays in contact with you throughout the recovery process. Many women think that if they violate the doctor's order, nothing will happen. Sometimes they don't realize the severity of the operation. This is your body, your chest, your life. And if your surgeon has prohibited you from making love within 2 weeks of surgery or lifting more than 1. 5kg, there are reasons for this. Primary rehabilitation after implant placement takes one month. The surgeon performs the last exam one year after surgery.
Be healthy and beautiful!

"Is it possible to breastfeed after mammoplasty? " - I hear this question quite often in my consultations. Definitely - yes, as a lot depends on the type of operation that has been or will be performed.
With endoprosthesis, i. e. breast augmentation, the surgeon makes an incision under the breast or armpit. Through it, he installs an implant. In this case, the doctor does not touch the mammary glands, respectively, the procedure does not affect the ability to breastfeed. In addition, even with an incision along the lower edge of the areola, the ducts of the gland are not cut and the feeding function remains. After the operation, you can also express breast milk. By the way, its composition will remain unchanged, since modern plants are made of a safe and non-toxic material.
There is a myth that implants need to be removed during pregnancy. Indeed, in rare cases, there are medical indications for this, since in the position the breast increases in size. However, this is a rather special case. Therefore, arthroplasty can be performed both before and after childbirth.
It does not affect the process of breastfeeding and mastopexy, that is, breast lifting. It is usually performed after childbirth to correct the breasts and give them volume. Such an operation will allow you to feed the baby naturally and after the next birth.
Meanwhile, breast lift is often confused with breast reduction. This is breast reduction surgery. During it, excess skin and fatty tissue are removed. Patients usually resort to such a wellness procedure to relieve the excess volume load on the spine, especially its cervical regions.
Breast reduction affects the milk ducts, which, of course, affects the possibility of breastfeeding. But in most cases it is still possible. Therefore, if a young mother is planning one or more children, she can inform a specialist that she will choose the optimal operation.
Most importantly, on all emerging issues, consult with a doctor and not with girls on Internet forums. After all, that's where many unconfirmed and scary myths are born. But today, thanks to the development of technology, plastic surgery has become much more accessible and safer. Even those girls who are planning to give birth to many more children can have an operation and improve their appearance.
